Getting help with your computer is quick and easy currently. When you purchase my “Online Computer Review and Cleanup” package you will get a link to book a time on my calendar. This will synchronize to all my devices and let me know that I have a booking. If there are any issues with the time, I will reach out to you directly.
At that point you will be given my direct contact information so you can email, call, or text me with any details or general communications to resolve your issues. I keep all information private and will never share or abuse your personal data as I hope my vendors do mine.
When the call is scheduled I will send you to a remote support portal and have you run my connection software. Once I can see your screen, we will review the basics of your computer together, so we are on the same page.
What system specs we will review
General system settings as shown by Windows control panel and or other tools.
Hard drive check – we will check the hard drive’s size, check the drive for S.M.A.R.T errors, check the file system for errors.
View installed applications and start to look for anything unwanted or shady.
Upgrade basic applications like Google Chrome, Firefox, 7zip, WinRAR, Adobe Reader, Java, Discord, FileZilla, Microsoft Visual C++, Nvidia PhysX, Steam and a lot more of your favorite applications.
Review the startup for signs of malware and unwanted programs. This is where we find a lot of questionable applications that start when your computer turns on or when you log onto your computer. This conversation usually starts to focus more on security if something is found.
Basic security computer reviews
This one is a little more in depth. We will review your antivirus, make sure it updates, check the windows fire wall, users, etc. I will take my 20+ years of computer security and user management experience to let you know how well you are doing. If you don’t have antivirus software, I will strongly suggest one and or some other software or applications for varied reasons that I will explain. This will all depend on my findings.
Windows updates will be checked to see if your computer is up to date. We will install any available Windows Updates at that time and turn on a normal update schedule that shouldn’t get in your way.
Get your questions answered
During this time customers can ask me any questions you’d like, and I’ll give my honest opinions based on my experiences. I can usually give multiple solutions for common issues. I like talking to people and resolving issues. Usually, during the computer discussion other issues will come up and we can discuss resolving those for a separate fee or if it’s quick, then. This is all up to Dave’s discretion of course.

This package is $49.99 (CAD) and is a one-time package with a 7-day warranty. If something I did breaks – I will of course fix it. Usually, I don’t warranty these calls because I don’t break anything. This is for new customers as a reassurance of my work.
